Tanya has been with Proactive Financial Management for 22 years and is a key member of the team.  Her job starts with a warm and friendly greeting whenever someone calls or comes into the office, and she remains a pivotal part of our client-centric approach from there.  Behind the scenes Tanya handles account and paperwork processing and just generally keeps everyone pointed in the right direction.  She also does an excellent job keeping us up to date on the Chicago Bears football team.

Tanya’s knowledge and background makes her a key asset to our office.  After graduating high school, she went to work for KeyBank while also taking college classes at night.  Once she received her banking certification, she transferred to Klickitat Valley Bank where she was trained and worked in several different positions, learning most aspects within the banking industry.  Tanya worked at Klickitat Valley Bank for several years until she resigned to stay home and raise her boys.  Once they were both off to school, Tanya returned to work as a part-time employee here at the office.  She quickly realized how much she enjoys working outside the home and transitioned to a full-time employee after just a few months.  Those years of training and knowledge in the banking industry has helped her thrive in the field of finance and investments.  Additionally, Tanya has been the treasurer for many local non-profits and currently is a Columbia Alumni Association Scholarship Community board member.

Tanya was born and raised in White Salmon.  Although she enjoys traveling and seeing the world, she has strong roots here in the community.  She has two boys; Cody is 29 years old and lives in White Salmon, and Kyle is 27 years old living with his wife and son in Home Valley.  Cody went to Central Washington University and now works as a local electrician.  Kyle went to Blue Mountain Community College before moving closer to home, and now is in his last year of journeyman school to become an electrician as well.  Tanya’s boys mean the world to her, but her pride and joy is her grandson, Kolson.  She now takes Wednesdays off to spend time with her grandson and we could not be happier for her.  If she isn’t with her grandson or here running the office, you will often find her and her partner, Matt, enjoying the sand dunes on the Oregon coast.
